Introduction

For the purpose of catering to the opening-up policy of Hubei Province as well as the whole nation, Dewell & Partners, the former Wuhan Foreign Economic Law Firm, was established in Wuhan, China in 1980 as a government agency affiliated to Wuhan Justice Bureau.

In tandem with the economic development and opening-up process of Hubei Province and the whole nation, Dewell & Partners has developed from a government agency to a partnership law firm, from a small firm with about 10 staff to a large one with more than sixty (60) talented and specialized lawyers, and from a humble local firm to a firm prestigious in both domestic and international legal service markets.

In the past over two decades, Dewell & Partners has won numerous honors from the government authorities at municipal, provincial and state levels, especially the title of “Preeminent Law Firm At Ministry Level” awarded by State Judicial Ministry of the People’s Republic of China in 1998 and 2001 respectively.

● In 1998, Dewell & Partners was awarded the title of “Preeminent Law Firm At Ministry Level” by State Judicial Ministry of the People’s Republic of China.

● In 2001, Dewell & Partners passed the Re-inspection & Acceptance conducted by State Judicial Ministry and re-obtained the title of “Preeminent Law Firm At Ministry Level”.
